thank you to everyone that has and is donating for Sonya!

I wanted to give everyone an update on Sonya, the Boxer mix we
> rescued on Tuesday.
> She is staying at Terrah's house and is enjoying being out of that
> little cage she was stuck in for so long. Terrah is feeding her
> home cooked meals and basically spoiling her rotten!!
> Slowly, every day, Sonya is coming out of her shell- She is
> already wagging her tail and coming up for petting. She is still
> very fearful but it looks very promising that she will overcome
> this with a little time & a little love.
> Thursday Sonya went to our vet for x rays as her legs are in bad
> shape. The vet was stumped as to what it might be and it is
> definitely not easily diagnosed.
> On the x rays it looks as though there is damage to the spine -
> right on the same spot that there was a tire mark on her back.
> Our vet will consult a radiologist to make sure there is not a
> tumor that may be pressing on the spinal column and will call us on
> Monday. Otherwise it looks to be a neurological disorder/damage.

> In the meantime we will be making an appt. to see a neurologist at
> California Animal Hospital.
> I will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
> Terrah and I wanted to thank you all for donating towards her
> care which enabled us to pull her out of the shelter on the day she
> was to be euthanized.
> We have a huge soft spot for the special needs dogs and would not
> be able to help them without the amazing help from all of you. And
> a special thanks to Rita for spending all day Tuesday sending out
> Sonya's plea and bringing everyone together to help Sonya. We
