    buster keaton

    **post by nikki**
Poor Buster, he is so charming when you see him in his cage. I don't have the heart to tell him that black dogs have even less of a chance. And so he waits and waits. He's been waiting since Oct. 2- through Halloween and Thanksgiving and New Years and Valentines Day. He's there right now- in a cage- alone and waiting...

sally won't you be my girl

This is Sally. I like to call her wiggles Mcgee, Nikki likes to call her waddles. Whatever her name, her essence is cuteness all over. Even her shelter photo makes my heart melt. We are completely smitten with this girl, she has everything in the world wrong with her, but she doesn't let it get her down. she seems like she is trying to have a good sense of humour about it all.

And it doesn't hurt that she is completely in love with her roomate, they are the best of friends. I would love to take this lil' one as my own, but with the fosters i have now, it it just too many. She would be the easiest to care for though, doesn't need much, but a comfortable bed and some love. She can't run as her back legs are bowed out and her nails grew so far up in her foot pads it made all her feet swell and makes her walk a little more funny. she always seems to smile through it all, and when we go up to the cage, she wrinkles her nose and snorts...just like my ansli does. She needs out of the shelter, her time is running by a thread there.

    Go West young man...

Even the dark needs to see the light

Black dogs need a chance too...
SASHA - ID#A861700 (West LA shelter)

we went to the Best-Friends adoptions on Sunday. Roslyn met a perspective family and is now on trial with them. They are the cutest. We have two new poodle additions to the family as someone dropped them off at the vet and didn't want them anymore, so to the muttscouts the go. haha!
the sisters are doing so much better...Bronte is really warming up and starting to play with Edi and so is Liesl. And Liesl eats, but she likes it fed to her...umm...someone say spoiled, but she is feeling much better and not coughing so much. They are really very cute. I updated the shelter dog page on the website, please check it out

    spring time love

well... this is Chloe-without her brother calvin. We rescued her the other day from west la shelter. and she is so darling, looks like a little manitee, haha! it has been an incredibly busy week. All the Underhouse pups were finally adopted, I miss lil' mosey. We kind of bonded, but i know he is in an incredible home. So now i have the sisters and i LOVE LOVE them. i renamed them, which i am sure won't be the last renaming. But, the light one I named Liesl and the red one-bronte. we went for a walk today and they sure perked up for being a couple old ladies. Liesl isn't feeling well, so she has been getting some fabulous gourmet food. Penny is on a trial, to a great home, lets hope it works out.

So now we focus on raising the rest of the money for Betty, and starting a fundraiser for francie and farrah. Also, then back to adoption festivals to try to adopt out everyone.

i have some pics to post of the shelter dogs and posters to make. networking this week...watch out!...
