It has been a busy week. We are non stop working on the website, pictures and meeting people for adoptions. Today we met a couple interested in milly monroe. I love it when people are patient and don't really care if she is a beauty queen. The lady seemed to have fallen in love with her. Milly is such a sweet girl, she doesn't know her face is a little mangled. She just has so much love to give. I hope it works out for her, she will be so spoiled, traveling, going on hikes and gardening. wow! can i live there. haha! will see. Tonight we have a meeting for all the rescues, should be good. I am so tired, though. oh, well.

THe little pup with the crooked legs was rescued on Friday. I love taking dogs out of the shelter. It feels like freedom. She is sooo cute!!!! We drove to San Diego, where another rescue called: (we loved them!)

found her a foster and will get her surgery. Two dogs rescued in one week just from scouting, feels so good, so happy!
Meka went a met with a prospective home. The girl was so cute and wants a companion so bad. meka would be perfect for her. And such a BIG Yard for her. I guess will see.

from a Buck to a Biscotti

well...Buck is now a member of a forever family. We could not have asked for a better match for him. Alison and Raisin are perfect for him. I can't wait to go on a hike with them and see him. I miss him, he is such a good guy! Sage also found a home. She has a backyard full of avacado trees and lemons. shall we say spoiled! we are hoping so place Meka soon, just in case we have to take the crippled staffi puppy. I will miss her, she follows me everywhere! i go. SHe is like a big puppy teddybear. haha! We got our first step of the non-profit out of the way! whew!! and the website has a few more pages. all very exciting. Now we just need to organize, get things more together and start on old shep studios.. so we can start making some money to feed these dogs.

I hate situaions like these... We went to the shelter the other day and saw this wee lil' one of only 5 months old. She had a HUGE lump on her side, her back leg in a cast and her front leg was bowed out really bad. She is a small pup and soooo cute and sweet. Come to find out she was RETURNED! to the shelter after being hit by a car. So she is not in good shape. she needs orthopedic surgery ASAP. We need help. We don't have the money ourselves for the surgery. She will be on the euth list next week. This situation sucks. I just hope people come out of the woodwork for this one. She will make someone really happy one day. she just needs to get out of this phase.

I am very happy today! I am finally figuring out the website. I think it is coming along nicely. Nikki is working on the non-profit and our goals are so exciting!! I love having her as a partner, she is such an inspiration, very calming for my NOT so calm personality and such a big heart! I am so lucky that she was put in my path.

Today we went to the Secret Garden, it was a first for me...letting my lil' edi off leash to run and boy can she outrun all the pack. For the first time in weeks, she is just plain tuckered out. What a wonderful feeling! I got Cesar's new book! and ohhh! so inspired! We decided with our rescue we want to try training some of the dogs as therapy dogs and I am trying his methods. Looking foward to a positive outcome! especially with rescues...
