blah~

I am upset. I feel helpless. Nikki and I have been worrying about these Baldwin Park dogs for the last year. Finally, some of them are up for foster.
here is the link:
Baldwin Park Animal Shelter
She is obsessed with marbles a blind, older dog and well...I am obsessed with the Mangy dane. She called the shelter today to see how marbles was with other dogs, the workders didn't even know. The dog has been in there for TWO years with no human contact or ever out of the cage. They just said he was scared and wouldn't even try. I am just disgusted at this situation. Nikki put a new page up on the Muttscouts website networking these dogs. It is an extremely sad situation. If you go to the website to the lost and found they are about the last 5-7 pages, maybe more. Only some
of them are up for foster. here is my dane, Please visit the website for more pics of her and marbles. she is breaking my heart.

Patience.

My lesson over the last month and yet still...Patience. I am learning with a few situations and it not something that is easy for me. I am constantly wanting to move forward and being still...waiting and trusting that things happen in the right time is sometimes hard for me. I guess that is faith. Trusting that the universe provides all things at the right time.

"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success."

rescued.

nikki made this video. turn up your speakers and grab some kleenex.
These are some of dogs that we have rescued.

Fun day.

Millie Monroe~a gangsta's former girlfriend

Millie is my treasure. We rescued both Millie and Edi on the same day. She was the most terrified girl I had ever met. She was brought to the shelter with her brother who also had face problems but for some reason in the shelter the males go first and within a couple days he was put to rest. So to say Millie was urgent was an understatement. She was so very sickly with a sinus infection and fever, she had iv's in her for days. For the entire month every single day I would trek up there and feed her chicken, she was so gentle and so sweet. She hasn't had it easy with looks as she only has one eye, her skin is a little rough, no teeth and a rat tail, but I love LOVE loVE this girl. She greets you with a toy, sock or her favorite...drum roll please~~a roll of toilet paper. She is another culprit who love the roll. She can't go out in the sun alot because of her lupus, but I am looking for just the right hat!
here are some pics from then to now...

coldwater.

so this is edi. She has just surrounded herself with a roll of toilet paper. Does anyone else have this problem. I think the world could consist of toilet paper and bones and my dogs would be in heaven.

here is a story for chuckles:

Can Coldwater Clean Dishes?

This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about using cold water to clean.

John went to visit his 90-year-old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Oregon.

After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.

However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?"

His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get em. Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!"

For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"

Without looking up the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!"

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass.

John yelled and said, "Grandpa, your dog won't let me get to my car".

Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted, "COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN NOW, YAH HEAR ME!!!"

more naughty--ness.

the 10 second face.

Edi's head looks like it will screw off when funny noises are made.

I think Ansli has perfected the sad lab face. what do you think?

It is cloudy today...My most favourite kind of day. I am not sure if the trip will happen tomorrow. There is a slight delay. I just want some vet to help me with Millie. If I don't go tomorrow, I will take her to another vet that Bullie Buddies of Las Vegas Recommended to see if she still needs surgery and if so if it can be put off a couple more weeks. I hate doing this. Her face is looking a lot better, I just don't know what is going on underneath all that. Will see. think positive thoughts for her.

I just talked to Jf. he has been so busy lately. He adopted out a little puppy yesterday to an amazing home. sonya is meeting her lady today, and I am hoping Samantha's new parents will take some photos so we can update. Her parents are in Oregon, we don't usually adopt out of state, but They are Casey's parents and she is the one that did that AMAZING fundraiser for us!! So hopefully I can post updated stories and photos of everyone soon. Trying not to stress over the L.A. trip. I feel better after talking to nikki and Jf. I know it will go smoothly. I think I am just really nervous about Millie. I know she will be ok, though.
I am pretty sickly today. arg!
I am going to start working on some crafting projects to sell for dog money. My head is kind of spinning with inspiration lately. yeah!

I was just informed about the Tammy Grimes situation. I will post the story tonight. just disguisted how this went down.

happy.

I am so completely happy these days...the happiest girl with the happiest dogs...It sounds so freakish coming from me, but finally good things are happening in the just perfect timing. A perfect hopefully job with a perfect boy and perfect fur-kids. geez...:-), I am okey saying how happy I am because this is the first time in my life things are finally falling in place. Stay positive people...those little retarded positive affirmations work.
I might have some great news to post, but it is still in the first stages, so I will let you know, but think good thoughts for us!!!

I am going to on L.A on monday with the dogs, so not looking forward to the drive, but it will be so worth it to have millie's face looked at and if (WHEN)the girls find their home. I am going to miss these ladies so much, it is never easy letting them go, but these new parents are just too amazing. I know they will be spoiled rotten and for us it means two less kids which for right now is really good, considering there might be some big changes coming up.
On a different note. I haven't been looking at the shelter boards and sites b/c well...my hands are a little tied as to where I am at right now and I just want to go and get all these dogs, but I keep up to date on this new photographer for Best Friends...her blog and I am OBSESSSSSSSED with this dog. I can't stop thinking about her. JUST CAN"T STOP...so here is the picture from saussie's blog...she has some more incredible pics...
